Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Youth Development (RGNIYD)
The Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Youth Development (RGNIYD) is an Institute of National Importance, established by the Government of India and functioning under the aegis of the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports. Set up in 1993 as an autonomous organization, the Institute was accorded the status of National Importance by an Act of Parliament in 2012.
MY Bharat, a youth-centric platform is an initiative of the Department of Youth Affairs,
launched on October 31, 2023, by Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
National Service Scheme (NSS) was introduced in 1969 with the primary objective of developing the personality and character of the student youth through voluntary community service. ‘Education through Service’ is the purpose of the NSS. The ideological orientation of the NSS is inspired by the ideals of Mahatma Gandhi. Very appropriately, the motto of NSS is “NOT ME, BUT YOU”. An NSS volunteer places the ‘community’ before ‘self’.
Officers/Staff of the Department of Youth Affairs and attached/subordinate Offices/autonomous organization working under the administrative control of Department of Youth Affairs i.e. NSS, NYKS & RGNIYD may send their suggestions/complaints/grievances.
