Instituted in 2009, the objective of the Puraskar is to encourage and promote involvement of corporate entity (Public/Private), non-governmental organizations (NGOs) in the promotion and development of sports in the country. Any corporate entity, public or private and non-governmental organization (NGOs), which has played a visible role in anyone or more than one of the following areas of sports promotion and development will be eligible to be considered for Rashtriya Khel Protsahan Puraskar: (a) Identification and nurturing of budding/young talent, or (b) Encouragement to sports through Corporate Social Responsibility, or (c) Employment of sports persons and sports welfare measures, or (d) Sports for Development List of entities are attached
